Dear Business Owner,
I am a parent & parishioner at Blessed Sacrament in Hollywood, nonprofit 501(c)(3) school in Los Angeles. I would like to ask for your help with our Fall Carnival, a fundraising event scheduled for October 21st-23rd, 2005.
You may have seen us. We're the huge Church and School on the north side of Sunset Blvd., just east of Highland Avenue. Since 1904, our school has provided a superior catholic education and enrichment to children throughout the Los Angeles area. Our current student population ranges kindergarten to eighth-grade. We place emphasis on both the academic and the spiritual development of our students.
We also have about 4,000 Parishioners. We pride ourselves on a culturally and socially diverse student body, with bright and talented kids from all over the world and all over LA. In addition, our religious education program prepares children and adults to fully participate in this sacramental life.
We are committed to the larger community of Hollywood and our Social Services program serves the very poor. We seek to empower those who struggle to make their home in our community through our involvement with the Hollywood Interfaith Sponsoring Committee. By providing these and other opportunities, we foster a sense of neighborhood solidarity, & act as a deterrent to gangs and crime, and help to raise some exceptional children.
Many of our students are on scholarship, and we depend upon fundraising efforts like this to support their education. In addition, we use the proceeds of the Fall Carnival to improve the educational experience of all Blessed Sacrament students, including upgrades to campus buildings, expansion of student technology resources, and the purchase of necessary educational materials. As a non-profit organization, we are dependent in large part on the generosity and creativity of our neighbors and friends.

Would you consider donating cash or sponsoring a booth at our Fall Carnival? Your gift will help hundreds of deserving children, and will provide a tax deduction for your business. Moreover, a donation generates immeasurable good will and publicity: last year's Fall Carnival attracted over 5,000 guests, and we expect to improve our attendance this year. We will repay your generosity by displaying your logo or business card in our program, and your individual or business name will appear on a banner on the booth itself.
