January 12, 1904 - 1913, Fr. Daniel J. Murphy, Founding Pastor, Archdiocese of Los Angeles
To meet the sacramental needs of the increasing Catholic population in the newly established territory of west Los Angeles, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles assigned Fr. Daniel J. Murphy to establish the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Hollywood. The first church structure of Blessed Sacrament was set up a few blocks away from where it now stands.

In 1914, the pastoral duties at Blessed Sacrament was turned over by the Archdiocese to the priests from the Society of Jesus, also known as the Jesuits. You may read more about our parish history here
