- To help the Superior General in his governance of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuits are organized geographically into 10 Assistancies around the world.
- The U.S. Assistancy is divided geographically into 10 Provinces covering 50 states.
- Blessed Sacrament Parish is under the mantle of the California Province which is led by a Provincial Superior who ministers to and is responsible for the Jesuits and missions of the Province.
