You are all invited to the 8th Annual Blessed Sacrament A Cappella Choir Cabaret Concert & Silent Auction. It's this Friday & Saturday, June 26/27, and will take place at the Blessed Sacrament School Auditorium (6657 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood).
This year's theme is "Out of This World," featuring music about the sun, moon, stars, and planets. Think, "Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine," "I Got the Sun in the Morning and the Moon at Night," "Moonglow," "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me," "Moondance," etc. Think eclectic programming with music from Broadway, R & B, folk-pop, jazz, etc. Think all-volunteer church choir accompanied by a professional combo.
Equally importantly, think Silent Auction with items including Angels & Disneyland Tickets, a tour of the set of the Emmy-Award winning General Hospital (including a signed script!), gift baskets, hair salon treatments (from salons in Beverly Hills, no less!), drum lessons, math tutoring, babysitting services, music composing and demo consultations, and much, much more! Think free refreshments provided by Hollywood-area restaurants (L.A. famous Miceli's, anyone?).
And all of this for the outrageously low price of $5.00 per ticket-what a bargain! All funds go towards the incredibly humble but pretty darned good Blessed Sacrament Music Ministry and Organ Renovation Fund (The Blessed Sacrament 1928 Casavant Organ is one of L.A.'s real gems). It's a great cause and a marvelous and fun musical evening.
