1. Why should I register with the parish?
As a registered parishioner, you are blessed pastorally and practically at Blessed Sacrament. Pastorally, you are blessed with sacramental celebrations including Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, and funeral or memorial services.
You also have the opportunity to engage in many of our ministries and activities that can enrich your life, your family, and the parish along with discounts on many fees.
2. Do you accept clothing/food donations?
There are different options for donations. The parish office will generally accept donations of dried foods (cereal, tea or instant coffee) or canned goods (please check that perishables have not expired).
Slightly worn or new clothes can be placed in St. Vincent de Paul bin outside The Center. For significantly large donations, please contact The Center, St. Vincent de Paul, or Goodwill.
Please note that the parish office does not issue receipts.
3. Do you accept volunteers?
Absolutely! We encourage you to prayerfully reflect on getting involved with our ministries. You will find descriptions on our website or you many check the bulletin for contact information of ministry leaders.
4. How do I contact The Center? What services do they provide?
The Center’s mission is to end isolation and chronic homelessness in Hollywood. It offers interactive groups and activities and participates in Los Angeles County’s Coordinated Entry System. Please call 323-378-3225 or read more at their website.
5. Do you sell bibles?
The Center sometimes has donated bibles and the parish office at times has bibles that you can purchase. You can also buy bibles at the gift shop of the Los Angeles Cathedral. There are many sites online as well.
6. I want to get my child more involved in church, is there a ministry for him/her?
