he Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic apostolic association that serves the Church and the community under the leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces. We are present in over 170 countries.

The object of the Legion is the glory of God

The object of the Legion is the glory of God through the holiness of its members. We develop it by prayer, cooperation with the local church, and by bringing Mary to the world as the best way of winning hearts to Jesus.

Legionary service is based on the doctrine of the Mystical Body of Christ and draws inspiration from the True Devotion to Mary, as taught by St. Louis-Marie de Montfort.

True Devotion to Mary

Our members serve through activities such as:
• Visitation of the sick
• Visitation of the incarcerated
• Visiting new parishioners and parish families with newly baptized babies
• Ministers of the Eucharist
• Teaching Catechism
• Bringing the Pilgrim Virgin statue of the Blessed Mother to houses to consecrate them
• Enthronements of homes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The basic unit of the Legion is a Praesidium. It holds a weekly meeting, where prayer is intermingled with faith formation and the work of the apostolate is discussed, planned, and allocated to the members. The Legion also has Auxiliary members who associate themselves with the apostolic work by prayerful support.
